Zip World Llechwedd lies in the old slate quarries above Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, North Wales. The adventure park uses ex-army trucks and Europe’s steepest underground railway to carry visitors around a landscape that’s both rugged and historic, sitting inside the UNESCO-listed Snowdonia slate area.

The site is popular because it turns a 200-year old mine into a giant playground. Outside, the Titan zip lines - the first four-person line in Europe - let you fly more than a kilometre at speeds of about 60mph. Underground you can bounce on huge nets in Bounce Below, tackle ropes and 11 more zips in Caverns, or play the world’s first 18-hole cave golf course.
