Scenic Drives

Get ready to hit the road and soak in the beauty that unfolds mile after mile. We’ve explored some incredible scenic drives that take you through mountains, valleys, lakes, and beyond. Each one has its own charm, offering views that make you want to stop and take it all in. These are not just drives, but experiences you’ll remember long after the journey ends.

Two drives that really stood out for us are the Transfăgărășan in Romania and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road in Austria. The Transfăgărășan is full of hairpin bends, high peaks & dramatic landscapes. It’s no wonder it’s often called one of the most beautiful roads in the world. The Grossglockner, on the other hand, is all about wide, smooth roads leading you past glaciers and alpine meadows. Both are challenging, thrilling, and truly unforgettable.

Closer to home, the UK also has some fantastic scenic routes. The Lake District drive from Keswick to Buttermere and back is one of our favourites, with rolling hills, quiet valleys, and sparkling lakes at every turn. In Wales, the Abergwesyn Pass offers a wilder experience with its steep climbs, open moorland, and narrow twisting roads. Both routes showcase the best of the British countryside and are perfect for a day trip.
