The Night Carnival at the Mayor's Thames Festival in London

This year's Night Carnival at the Mayor's Thames Festival was a big hit with more than 2,000 dancers, musicians and masqueraders taking part in it.

The carnival started at around 7.15pm and the Victoria Embankment, Blackfriars Bridge and Upper Ground were all transformed into one big street party. Cars and buses were replaced with torch-lit dinosaurs, samba dancers, brass bands, colourful illuminated floats and much more. There were around 31 groups in this year's Carnival and my favourite was the London School of Samba.
