Festival Fireworks - Fireworks display at the Thames during the Mayors Thames Festival

Mike Jones, the winner of the Montreal International Fireworks Competition in 2007, was the designer of the Thames Festival fireworks display this year. The fireworks display spanned around half a kilometre of the river and was fired from too barges in the middle of the river. The fireworks included synchronised volleys and series of aerial shells which erupted into a dramatic colourful canopy of myriad effects.

The fireworks started around 9:45 and lasted for close to 20 minutes. It was a nice way to finish off the night carnival.

Some pictures from the evening. Wasn't carrying a tripod, hence the pictures aren't sharp or focussed :)
