With our arrival scheduled for after 9:30 pm at the airport in Bucharest, finding a hotel close to the airport (for the first couple of days) was a priority and Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Bucharest Airport turned out to be the perfect choice. Not only was the location incredibly convenient, but the hotel also offered great amenities, making our stay comfortable and stress-free.
Here's a detailed look at our experience!
Location
Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Bucharest Airport is located just 600 meters from Henri Coandă International Airport, making it an ideal choice for travellers flying in and out of the airport, especially on late or early flights. The close proximity to the airport is a huge advantage, allowing guests to reach the hotel quickly and easily. The hotel even offers a convenient airport shuttle service, so you can be in your room within minutes after leaving the airport.
We chose this hotel mainly because it’s so close to the airport and offers a shuttle service, making it super convenient for us.
Check-in experience
The hotel lobby had a sleek, modern design with a welcoming atmosphere. It was both functional and inviting and manned by friendly staff who made sure to get the whole check-in process done in no time, allowing us to settle in comfortably after our delayed journey.
Our room at Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Bucharest Airport
The hotel has 4 different room types - Comfort Room, Comfort Plus Room, Lounge Room and the Suites. We stayed in one of their Comfort Plus Rooms.
The Comfort Plus Room, spanning 23 square meters, provides plenty of space with a modern, refreshing design. The interior design of the room was bold and vibrant, with a striking combination of red, orange and dark tones. It created an energetic yet warm atmosphere. The lighting was soft and warm, perfect for unwinding.
After a tiring and slightly-delayed flight, all we wanted was a clean and comfortable place to relax and the hotel delivered on that aspect.
The room was immaculate, with every detail reflecting a high standard of cleanliness. From the polished surfaces to the neatly arranged amenities, it was clear that cleanliness was a top priority, making the room feel well-maintained and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The clean, well-made bed with soft linens and plush pillows was all we needed for a restful night's sleep.
Even though the hotel was close to the airport and a major road, the room was quiet because of the soundproof windows, and we had a great night's sleep. Individually controlled air conditioning in the room ensured that we had a comfortable environment suited to our preferences.
The room was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We appreciated having bottled water, a coffee maker, and cups ready for us, along with a selection of fresh fruits. The large desk with electrical outlets made it easy to charge our devices and the free high-speed internet connection kept us connected.
There was a flat-panel HD TV with cable and satellite channels for entertainment and the in-room safe gave us peace of mind for our valuables.
The room also had thoughtful details like hypoallergenic pillows and a telephone for international calls or wake-up calls. We loved the spaciousness of the room with a sofa bed for extra comfort and tables and chairs for lounging.
The bathroom was clean and was stocked with quality amenities, including a hair dryer and fresh towels.
Overall, the Comfort Plus Room was comfortable and well-kitted out making it ideal for travellers seeking a restful space.
Dining
While staying at the hotel, we started off our days with a tasty buffet breakfast, featuring fresh local favourites like baked breads, a variety of cheeses, dips, fruits, cereals and juices. I especially loved the Zacuscă, a traditional spread made from roasted eggplants, bell peppers and tomatoes. The vegetables are roasted or grilled to give them a smoky flavour, then peeled, finely chopped and simmered together with onions, garlic and finally seasoned with spices. It paired very well with the freshly baked breads.
We were out sightseeing late until the evening so we did not get a chance to try out their bar or evening meals at The Bull Steak Restaurant. But the options are there if you wish to use them. You can relax with a coffee, cocktail, wine or beer at the Sky Gate Bar or you could opt to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner in your room by ordering from the room service menu. There is also a 24/7 shop for snacks and drinks.
Facilities and amenities
Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Airport Bucharest offers a wide range of amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, so help is always available whether it is for taxi bookings, airport shuttles or information on public transportation and local attractions. We asked the front desk for information about local buses to the city centre and nearby sights, and they were really helpful on all occasions.
If you're traveling for business, then the hotel has a business center, meeting rooms and event planning services. There's also a concierge to assist with local recommendations and multilingual staff to help guests from all over the world.
For relaxation, you can enjoy the fitness center, sauna and a game room.
The hotel also provides same-day dry cleaning services, onsite parking (fees may apply) and even welcomes pets.
Staff interaction
The staff at the hotel made our stay truly enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, the reception team greeted us with warm smiles and were eager to assist with anything we needed. They were always friendly, quick to offer help and their welcoming attitude made us feel right at home.
The restaurant staff were just as great, checking in to see if we needed anything and making sure we were happy with our breakfast. The shuttle service team was also excellent, ensuring we got to the hotel from the airport smoothly. Every interaction we had with the staff was positive, and their friendliness and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out.
Our thoughts
We feel that the hotel was definitely worth the price for everything it offered. The location near the airport alone made it super convenient, especially with the free shuttle service. Plus, the room was spacious, clean and packed with all amenities needed for our stay. The buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious and we loved having the option to grab snacks or meals from the restaurant or 24/7 shop whenever we wanted.
What really made it a great value was the excellent service from the staff. Whether it was at the front desk, the restaurant or even the shuttle team, everyone was friendly and eager to help.
Whether you're staying for a couple of nights like us or on a longer trip, this hotel offers great value, comfort, convenience and a welcoming atmosphere. We loved our stay and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Exploring Bucharest
It was our first visit to Bucharest and even though it was a short visit (as our main interest was in exploring Transylvania), we still managed to see the main attractions in the capital city.
One of the most iconic landmarks is the Palace of the Parliament, the second-largest administrative building in the world. This massive structure is a symbol of Romania's communist era and offers guided tours that take you through its opulent halls and chambers. For those interested in history, the Old Town (Centrul Vechi) is a great place to explore, with its narrow cobblestone streets, historic churches, and lively cafes. Don’t miss the Stavropoleos Monastery, a small but beautiful church known for its intricate architecture and serene courtyard.
Another highlight is Revolution Square, where you can learn about Romania's revolution and the fall of communism in 1989. Nearby is the Romanian Athenaeum, a stunning concert hall famous for its neoclassical design and home to the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra. If you're in the mood for a relaxing stroll, head to Herăstrău Park, a large green space with a lake, museums and a village museum that showcases traditional Romanian architecture.
