A-Listers of today know a thing or two about the glitz and glamour of luxury hotels besides just staying in them. Over the years, many celebrities have found their way onto the hotel property ladder with properties belonging to Andy Murray and the likes of Donatella Versace, and of course Hugh Jackman, who once enjoyed a wellness retreat so much that he ended up buying it.

Andy Murray, Cromlix Hotel


Sir Andrew Barron Murray OBE is the famous face behind the Cromlix Hotel. Murray is a professional British tennis player from Scotland and was ranked No.1 in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for 41 continual weeks during 2016.

Located just outside of Murray’s hometown of Dunblane, the 5* hotel boasts 15 luxury bedrooms, two drawing rooms, a conservatory, a dining room, a snooker room and a fine dining restaurant. Before being purchased by Murray in 2013, the estate had belonged to the Cromlix heritage since the early 15th century and had been in their possession for over four centuries. The house was converted from a private residence to a luxury country house hotel in 1981 before being bought by Murray in 2013 to help attract new visitors to the area. After extensive refurbishment, the hotel opened to the public on 1st April 2014.

Donatella Versace, Palazzo Versace

Owned by fashion designer, businesswoman, socialite and model Donatella Versace, the hotel boasts two stunning locations - one on Australia’s Gold Coast and the other in Dubai that opened in 2016.

Palazzo Versace Gold Coast, the first to open out of the two locations, boasts 200 luxurious rooms and suites equipped with bespoke furniture, open-plan bathrooms, exquisite bathtubs, large beds and views that are enough to take your breath away. Cristiano Ronaldo is a professional Portuguese football player who plays for and is the captain of both the Portugal national team and the Saudi Professional League club Al Nassr.
