During our visit to Scotland, we stayed at the Croit Anna Hotel in Fort William. Croit Anna is a part of the Leisureplex group.

Croit Anna Hotel is situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe and offers lovely views from the lounge, the bars and most of the bedrooms. We had opted for an upgrade to a loch-facing room and so the view was awesome from our room.

The hotel was clean and good. Nothing spectacular in terms of the building or interiors but it more than made up for this by way of the beautiful scenery. Some features of the hotel:

- most evenings there was entertainment in the hotel
- it's totally non-smoking
- all rooms had tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryers and TV
- extensive car parking area for both cars and coaches
- central heating
- friendly and helpful front office staff

The hotel doesn't have any lifts. We were put up on the second floor, but that was not an issue for us. However, if you have elderly family members travelling with you, you can request the hotel and they will arrange for a bedroom on the ground floor.

The decor in the rooms is a little dated but we liked it as it went well with the small town feel. The room is cleaned and fresh linen provided as per your need. So no complaints on that front.

What I liked best about the hotel
- the view from our room
- vegetarian meals were available by prior appointment. The menu was good and the dining area and timings were well maintained. The staff in the dining area were very friendly.

The town centre is just 4 kms from the hotel, so you can go for a stroll whenever you feel like. If you prefer not to walk, the bus stop is right outside the hotel.

Overall - we had a good time at the hotel.
