The city of Amsterdam in Netherlands

Amsterdam is the capital of Netherlands. Amsterdam (from Amstelredamme - meaning a dam on the river Amstel) is a UNESCO World Heritage site because of its 17th century canals. The main attractions in Amsterdam are these canals, the Van Gogh museum, the Amsterdam stock exchange(the oldest in the world), the Stedelijk Museum and the red-light district. It is also famous for its cannabis coffee shops that sell cannabis (it's no longer sold to tourists, only to citizens of Netherlands)

The red-light district in Amsterdam is a major tourist attraction. The area is a network of innumerable alleys and small roads dotted with one-room apartments which the sex-workers use to offer their services..
